In response to the need for an updated and welcoming visitor information guide at Cal Poly Pomona, I led the redesign of the guide and enhanced the campus map for a real-world project. Over 20,000 copies were printed and distributed throughout the CPP community, making this a significant resource for new students and visitors. The goal was to create a guide that not only provided essential information but also left a positive, lasting first impression on visitors.
The design incorporated iconic landmarks around the campus and featured an organic, wave-like shape at the bottom of the map, symbolizing the journey students take during their time at CPP. I chose a softer version of our school colors to create a warm and approachable aesthetic. This guide played a key role in enhancing the experience for newcomers, giving them a sense of connection and belonging while navigating the campus for the first time.
